San Miguel rally from 20 down to edge NLEX 135-133
George King supplied the winning basket, but NLEX held on to Group A’s top seed through their earlier victory over the Beermen.

San Miguel beat NLEX 135-133 after overturning a 20-point gap in the final quarter of their PBA Governors’ Cup game on October 21, 2026. The contest at Ynares Center in Antipolo, Rizal, was decided by George King’s drive, with Robert Bolick called for goaltending.
A Deonte Burton basket had put NLEX 118-98 ahead with 10:07 to play. San Miguel’s recovery brought the teams level at 133 when Trollano scored a layup with about 53 seconds left. Bolick missed a layup before King’s decisive play, and LJ Gonzales could not convert NLEX’s subsequent corner attempt.
King scored 27 points and collected nine rebounds, while June Mar Fajardo paired 26 points with 10 rebounds. Fajardo had reached the 10,000-point milestone earlier that day. San Miguel also received 23 points from substitute Trollano and another 19 from Marcio Lassiter.
Burton’s 43 points led NLEX, and he also registered six blocks and six rebounds. Gonzales contributed 20 points, matching Schonny Winston’s tally. Bolick scored 13 on 5-of-6 shooting and delivered 15 assists, a career best.
The result left each side with a 9-3 record. NLEX retained first place in Group A because they had won the teams’ earlier meeting and will face Group B’s fourth seed. San Miguel head coach Leo Austria described the comeback as a boost to morale before the playoffs.
