Selangor claim fourth Malaysian futsal crown after extra-time win
Syahir Iqbal Khan’s 50th-minute winner sealed a 2-1 extra-time victory over Pahang Rangers at KOMBES.

A 2-1 extra-time win against Pahang Rangers at KOMBES gave Selangor Futsal Club the Malaysia Premier Futsal League (MPFL) 2026 title. Selangor now have four championships, making them the most successful club in Malaysia’s top-flight futsal competition.
The title is settled by points across two legs rather than by aggregate goals. Teams receive three points for a victory and one for a draw.
Marlon Oliveira opened the extra-time scoring for Selangor with a goal in the 47th minute. Muhamad Razin replied a minute later to make it 1-1, before Syahir Iqbal Khan scored the winner in the 50th minute.
Regulation time had ended 5-2 in Selangor’s favour. Syahir scored twice, in the eighth and 10th minutes, while Mohd Khairul Effendy struck in the 10th and 23rd minutes. Evandro Borges added a goal in the 14th minute. Both of Pahang Rangers’ regulation-time goals were scored by Felipe de Souza, in the 17th and 40th minutes.
