Team Rey sweep Vamos as SRG also advance in MPL MY playoffs
The two teams reached the upper-bracket final, with places at the M8 World Championship in Turkiye available to the league’s winners and runners-up.
Team Rey beat Team Vamos 3-0 to book an upper-bracket final place in Season 18 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY). Selangor Red Giants (SRG) also progressed by defeating Bigetron by Vitality (BTRM).
Despite the sweep, Team Rey player Irfan "Sepat" Aujang said the team needed to reduce errors and improve how it finished games. He said simple mistakes had occurred in every match, and the players would work on solutions during play and ways to close out games with their drafted heroes.
SRG goldlaner John Vincent "Innocent" Banal said further exploration of the current meta was needed as he prepared for the playoffs and international competition. He pointed to new heroes and strategies, noting that teams approached those heroes differently.
The domestic championship also offers a route to international competition: both the title winners and runners-up will qualify for the M8 World Championship in Turkiye.
