Thailand retained first place in Group B despite losing 2-1 to the Philippines on 2 October 2026, securing a meeting with hosts Indonesia in the inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 Division One final. The title match is scheduled for 5 October 2026.

Vietnam’s 4-2 win against Pakistan was not enough to displace Thailand from the group’s top spot. Gelora Bung Karno Stadium will host the final and, earlier that day, the third-place match between Vietnam and Malaysia.

Bjorn Kristensen scored both Philippine goals at Bandung’s Si Jalak Harupat Stadium. He opened the scoring in the third minute before Buriram United winger Iklas Sanron brought Thailand level in the 55th minute. Kristensen then struck the decisive goal in the 68th minute.

In the other match, Pakistan led Vietnam at half-time at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium through Mohib Afridi’s 31st-minute goal. Kim Sang-sik’s side responded after the interval, with Nguyen Hai Long scoring in the 51st minute and Nguyen Hoang Duc following in the 57th.

Nguyen Dinh Bac added Vietnam’s third in the 80th minute. Kaleemullah Khan scored for Pakistan in the 88th minute, before Williams Monh Hoang completed Vietnam’s scoring in the 90th+1 minute.
