Torculas lifts San Beda past Letran in overtime

San Beda improved to 4-2 in NCAA Season 102 after Aldous Torculas scored 18 points, including three crucial late three-pointers.

San Beda University defeated Letran 74-65 after overtime at the FilOil EcoOil Centre on October 5, 2026, with Aldous Torculas hitting a three-pointer to force the extra period and another two to help secure victory.

Torculas added five rebounds and two assists to his 18 points as the defending champions moved to 4-2 in Group A. Letran suffered a second consecutive defeat, leaving the Knights with a 3-2 record in Group B. The matchup brought together the finalists from the previous season.

The teams were level at 34 at half-time, and San Beda entered the fourth quarter ahead 50-45. Denzil Sison-Walker and Jimboy Estrada helped Letran move in front 58-54 before Daniel Marcelo narrowed the gap with a three-pointer.

Two Kevin Santos free throws later put Letran ahead 61-58. Following an offensive foul by Titing Manalili, Torculas made the equalising shot against Sison-Walker, his former UP teammate.

Torculas's two overtime three-pointers helped establish a 72-62 advantage with 2:04 remaining, before Andrei Ugaddan secured the result with free throws. Marcelo contributed 10 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Ugaddan recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.
