TV3 pair Fathy Azlan and Syakirah Zulkifly won the PAAB X Media Pickleball tournament in Kuala Lumpur, earning RM2,000 as Media Prima teams secured first, second and third places. The competition drew 32 teams to CAVE, PP Club, on Jalan Ampang.

Wan Huzairy Wan Hussin and Hizreen Azleena Kama of the New Straits Times (NST) placed second. Fellow NST players Intan Maizura Ahmad Kamal and Hazwan Alias finished third. Each of the four NST competitors had previously earned multiple podium finishes on the media pickleball circuit.

Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) organised the tournament with the Malaysian Press Institute to build closer relationships with media partners. Participants came from PAAB and media outlets including Bernama, Berita Harian, Radio Televisyen Malaysia, Sinar Harian and TV AlHijrah.

PAAB chief executive officer Zulkiflee Omar said relationships with journalists helped the company explain its water infrastructure work to the public. He said the competition gave staff and media practitioners an informal setting to meet beyond work commitments while promoting physical activity.
