Moh Zaki Ubaidillah defeated France’s Alex Lanier 21-16, 16-21, 21-17 at Arena Grand Paris on 24 October to reach the French Open 2026 final. He was the only Indonesian player to advance beyond the semi-finals.

Known as Ubed, the men’s singles player from Sampang, Madura, will contest his first final at BWF Super 750 level against another French opponent, Christo Popov. Against Lanier, Ubaidillah took the opening game, lost the second and recovered to win the decider.

Indonesia’s other three semi-final entries all lost. In women’s doubles, Rachel Allessya Rose and Febi Setianingrum were beaten 18-21, 15-21 by Japan’s top-seeded pair, Yuki Fukushima and Mayu Matsumoto.

Both Indonesian men’s doubles pairs fell to Malaysian opponents, ending the possibility of an all-Indonesian final. Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin lost 16-21, 15-21 to Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun, while Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin went down 20-22, 9-21 to Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin.

The finals programme on 25 October begins at 11.00 local time, or 17.00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Ubaidillah’s match is scheduled fourth, placing it in the evening in WIB.
