Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama says his previous success at Lusail and a second-place finish in the 2026 Malaysia Moto3 race have boosted his confidence ahead of the Qatar round.

Speaking to reporters over Zoom, the 17-year-old Honda Team Asia rider said he liked the circuit and felt more confident about racing there after his podium finish in Malaysia. He also pointed to his strong results at Lusail during the 2023 Asia Talent Cup.

Veda has contested four Asia Talent Cup races at the circuit across the 2022 and 2023 editions. Two of those appearances ended in victories, both in 2023.

He holds seventh place in the Moto3 championship standings on 131 points. The Qatar, Portugal and Valencia rounds remain opportunities for him to add to his points tally, with Lusail next to host him in the 2026 Qatar Moto3 race.
