Veda Ega Pratama finishes third in Malaysia Moto3 practice
The Indonesian rider reached second in the closing minutes at Sepang before Rico Salmela moved ahead of him.

A late improvement lifted Indonesia’s Veda Ega Pratama to third in the Malaysian Moto3 practice session at Sepang on Friday, 30 October. The 17-year-old reached second with less than five minutes remaining, but subsequently lost that position to Rico Salmela.
Veda’s move into the leading group followed a spell outside the top 10. At the halfway point, he was running 11th, directly ahead of Malaysia’s Hakim Danish. He later slipped to 13th before producing the lap that put him behind David Almansa in second.
Danish had also moved up the order late in the session. With fewer than 10 minutes to go, he recorded a lap that briefly made him the fastest rider. Almansa surpassed that time seconds later, leaving Danish second.
Veda’s subsequent improvement put Almansa, Veda and Danish in the top three with under five minutes left. Salmela then posted a time good enough for second, moving Veda down to third.
