Verdonk makes Champions League debut in Lille loss to Arsenal
The Indonesia left-back played 15 minutes after replacing Romain Perraud in the 78th minute at London's Emirates Stadium.

Indonesia defender Calvin Verdonk made his Champions League debut as a substitute during Lille's 0-3 defeat by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in London. The matchday two fixture took place in the early hours of 14 October, western Indonesian time.
Lille brought Verdonk on for Romain Perraud in the 78th minute. His appearance lasted 15 minutes, comprising 12 minutes of normal time and three minutes of second-half stoppage time. Fotmob data showed he had 16 touches and made three tackles, while an opponent dribbled past him once.
An injury had left Perraud's availability uncertain before the match, raising the possibility of Verdonk getting more playing time or starting against Arsenal. Perraud was ultimately fit to start and remained on the pitch until Verdonk replaced him late in the second half.
Arsenal scored all three goals before Verdonk's introduction. Jurrien Timber struck in the 64th minute, followed by Eberechi Eze in the 67th and Bukayo Saka in the 71st.
