Verdonk starts as Lille earn first Champions League point
The Indonesia defender played at left-back as Lille drew 0-0 away to Bodo/Glimt after losing their opening three matches.

Lille collected their first Champions League point with a goalless draw against Bodo/Glimt at Aspmyra Stadium in Bodo, Norway, on 4 November. Indonesia defender Calvin Verdonk started at left-back in a 4-3-3 formation.
After three consecutive defeats, the French side resisted the hosts’ attacks while looking for openings of their own. Dilane Bakwa sought to advance into the final third, while a short passing exchange between Verdonk and Andre was stopped in the 23rd minute.
Verdonk continued to contribute going forward after the interval. His through ball in the 52nd minute was gathered by goalkeeper Nikita Haikin, and another pass into the penalty area five minutes later failed to produce a breakthrough. Nathan Ngoy went down inside the box in the 61st minute, but the referee did not award a penalty.
Haikin also dealt with a Verdonk cross in the 74th minute. The defender then found Hakon Haraldsson in the 86th minute, but his Lille team-mate shot wide as neither side managed to score.
