Top seed Loi defeated Thai opponent Thanakrit in three games to take the YONEX BTY Junior International Series 2026 championship in Thailand. He won the opener 21-14, lost the second 14-21 and clinched the decider 21-18.

Accurate play helped Loi establish control in the first game. Thanakrit then raised the tempo, capitalising on several mistakes by Loi to draw level. In the final game, Loi recovered his composure and combined quick reactions with precise placement, putting together scoring runs at key stages to secure the title.

Loi, who was born in 2008, previously claimed the men's singles crown at the Philippines Junior International Series 2026 in August.

The competition offered US$13,500 in total prize money, according to The Thao & Van Hoa (Sports & Culture) newspaper. Its programme covered U13, U15, U17 and U19 categories, with men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles.
