Bhayangkara FC suffered their first loss of the season on 30 October as hosts Java United won 2-0 at Stadion Jatidiri in Semarang. The victory in the eighth round of the Super League took Java United to ninth on 10 points, behind eighth-placed Bhayangkara on 11.

The opening goal arrived in the 11th minute through Yakob Sayuri. Left unmarked at the far post, he turned in Ciro Alves's low delivery to put Java United 1-0 ahead. Bhayangkara had an opportunity to respond midway through the opening half, but Mauricio Vera's attempt missed the target.

The visitors kept searching for a goal without converting their chances. In the 81st minute, Moussa Sidibe aimed a shot towards the corner, forcing a save from Java United goalkeeper Jorge Meurer and leaving Bhayangkara still trailing.

Lukas Brambilla then made it 2-0 in the 88th minute, converting a pass from Gustavo Almeida. Java United held that advantage through the final whistle to secure the home win.
