Veda Ega finishes sixth at Mandalika, rises to seventh in Moto3 standings
Honda Team Asia manager Hiroshi Aoyama said the 17-year-old had given his best after challenging near the podium positions.

Veda Ega Pratama earned 10 points with a sixth-place finish at the Moto3 Mandalika Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 on 11 October. The result lifted his total to 115 points and moved him into seventh in the provisional standings, ahead of Hakim Danish, who finished 14th.
The 17-year-old started seventh and reached second place on lap two. Honda Team Asia manager Hiroshi Aoyama said Veda had made a strong start and fought close to the podium places in a race featuring frequent overtaking and tightly contested battles.
Adrian Cruces' crash on lap 13 briefly moved the rider from Gunungkidul into fifth. Veda later dropped to eighth with three laps remaining, then recovered to sixth on the final lap.
Aoyama said Veda had done his best, maintained consistent lap times and made the most of his home Grand Prix, although the team had wanted to challenge for a podium finish. He also thanked Indonesian fans, saying their support throughout the weekend had provided extra motivation for the riders and team.
