Indonesia beat Thailand on penalties to win FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026
Coach John Herdman said Indonesia chose their penalty takers based on finishing in training, with all four converting in the final.

Indonesia claimed the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 title with a 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Thailand at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno stadium on 5 October. The final finished level at 2-2 after 120 minutes.
