Léo Artur scored in first-half added time as the Vietnamese champions began their Group B campaign with three points in Singapore.
A stoppage-time finish by Léo Artur secured a winning start for Cong An Ha Noi FC in Group B of the 2026/27 ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup. The V.League 1 champions defeated Lion City Sailors FC 1-0 at Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore on 8 October 2026.
The goal came two minutes into added time before the break. Alan Grafite found Brayan Perea just inside the hosts’ half, and Perea drove forward while holding off Diogo Costa. His backheel sent the ball across goal for Artur to score from six yards.
Lion City had threatened before conceding, with Matthias Phaëton denied by Filip Nguyen and Antonio Mance firing over. At the other end, Victor Aznar stopped a curling shot from Artur in the 17th minute. After half-time, Artur was denied again around the hour mark, and Stefan Mauk put the rebound over.
Mark Jackson’s hosts could not find an equaliser. Kyoga Nakamura had an effort deflected wide, substitute Bart Ramselaar shot over and Abdul Rasaq Akeem missed an empty net late in added time. Artur was named Shopee Star of the Match.
