A late scoring burst gave Indonesian champions Persib Bandung a 3-1 away win against Thailand's Port FC on 8 October 2026, opening their 2026/27 ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup Group B campaign with victory.

The visitors trailed at Thammasat Stadium until the 86th minute, when Mariano Peralta collected Balša Sekulic's pass and placed his finish into the bottom corner. Berguinho made it 2-1 in the 92nd minute, striking from the edge of the area. Luka Menalo added a diving header in the 96th minute and received the Shopee Star of the Match award.

Port's advantage had come from a penalty converted by Jude Soonsup-Bell in the 66th minute, moments after his introduction as a substitute. The referee awarded the penalty after Kaka Mendes went down following a challenge by Ikwan Ali Tanamal.

Earlier, Teja Paku Alam kept Persib level with first-half saves from Bruno and Erik Sviatchenko. At the other end, Port goalkeeper Michael Falkesgaard stopped two Berguinho attempts before the break.
