Paper Rex announced on 31 October 2026 that its VALORANT roster would lose two longstanding players, Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie and Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee, before VCT 2027. Each had been with the organisation for more than five years, playing alongside fellow core member f0rsakeN.

The pair’s achievements with Paper Rex include the Masters Toronto 2025 title. The team also took second place at VALORANT Champions 2023, Masters Santiago 2026 and Masters London 2026.

Before the departure announcement, d4v41 said on 24 October that he had permission from Paper Rex to explore other opportunities. The former Counter-Strike player joined the lineup in 2020 and mainly plays Sentinel and Controller. Jinggg arrived in September 2021 and primarily played as a duelist, notably on Raze.

Reflecting on his departure, Jinggg credited the team with helping his development in and outside the game. He said he was excited about what would come next and hoped supporters would stay with him. Teammate Ilia “something” Petrov also paid tribute to d4v41’s friendship and support, recalling their discussions about both life and gaming.
